Orioles cut 12 players, option Selby, send Bradfield, Beavers, Fabian to minor league camp

SARASOTA—After a week of Grapefruit League games, the Orioles cut 12 players, including right-handed reliever Colin Selby, who was on their roster for the Wild Card Series, and promising outfielders Enrique Bradfield Jr., Dylan Beavers and Jud Fabain.

Selby, who was optioned to minor league camp, allowed four runs on one hit, two walks and a hit batsman in his only Grapefruit League appearance.

Bradfield, the Orioles’ No. 1 draft pick in 2023, Beavers, Fabian, catcher Silas Ardoin, right-handers Justin Armbruester, Yaramil Hiraldo, Robinson Martinez, Carlos Tavera and Nathan Webb, left-hander Jakob Hernandez, infielder Jeremiah Jackson were assigned to minor league camp.

Hiraldo and Martinez did not appear in a game.


The moves leave 58 players on the camp roster, including 19 non-roster invitees.
