Fallston’s Logan wins ‘Prep Ballplayer of the Week’

For the second straight week, my hometown of Harford County has taken the cake in our ‘Prep Ballplayer of the Week’ voting.

Fallston’s Bryce Logan had a stellar week on and off the mound, first firing a complete game shutout against C. Milton Wright while striking out a season-high eight batters. As if that wasn’t enough, he also excelled at the plate. A sacrifice fly, two walks and a run scored contributed to Fallston’s 5-4 win over Harford Tech on Friday.

Logan tallied over 7,000 votes to take this week’s crown, surpassing James Angel (Old Mill) and Michael McManus (Mount Saint Joseph). It was a highly-contested contest, with nearly 16,000 total votes cast.

In case you’re visiting our ‘Prep Ballplayer’ voting for the first time, here’s how things work. Three candidates will be revealed each Monday, and if you want to submit a player for consideration, send an email to dean@baltimorebaseball.com by 3 p.m. Sunday. Please provide as much detail on the player’s week as possible. Voting starts as soon as we announce the candidates, and runs until every Thursday at 11:59 p.m.
