Orioles announce ‘Birdland Caravan’ plans for February 7-9

The Orioles have announced plans for their first “Birdland Caravan,” a three-day tour of the surrounding area from Friday February 7-Sunday February 9.

Orioles players Hanser Alberto, Austin Hays, Trey Mancini, Richie Martin, Cedric Mullins, Rio Ruiz and Dwight Smith Jr. will participate.

Top prospects DL Hall, Gunnar Henderson, Ryan McKenna, Ryan Mountcastle, Grayson Rodriguez and Adley Rutschman will also be included.

Former Orioles Mike Bordick, Eddie Murray and Brian Roberts are also participating.

Executive vice president/general manager Mike Elias, manager Brandon Hyde, assistant general manager, analytics Sig Mejdal and coaches Tim Cossins and Fredi Gonzalez will also be on hand.

On Friday, two buses will make private stops in Aberdeen, York, Pa., Fallston and Timonium before a Happy Hour from 4-6 p.m. at the Greene Turtle in White Marsh.

Saturday, the caravan stops from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. at La Palapa Grill and Cantina in Ellicott City, from 1 to 2 at the Susan Campbell Park in downtown Annapolis and a Happy Hour from 4-6 at the Calvert Brewing Company in Bowie.

There will be a private stop on Saturday at Fort Meade.

The caravan concludes on Sunday with stops at the Carroll Creek Amphitheater in downtown Frederick from 1:30-2:30, McDaniel College in Westminster from 2-3 and a Happy Hour from 4-6 at the Flying Dog Brewery in Frederick.

Private stops will be made in Hagerstown and Westminster on Sunday.
