BOSTON—The Orioles’ Opening Day game against the Boston Red Sox was postponed because of rain. Thursday’s opener, which was scheduled for 2:10 p.m. at Fenway Park, will be played on Friday.
The announcement came shortly after 9 a.m., more than five hours before game time. Early Thursday morning, there was some rain and raw conditions, but the Red Sox said that the forecast called for periods of rain throughout the day.
Friday’s forecast calls for sunny weather with a high of 46 degrees.

Another day for Boog and co. to grouse about our prospects for the season. Bonus rants!
That’s the great thing about our rants, you don’t have to read them, as much as you bellyache about them, you don’t seem to avoid them...LOL...just can’t please some people...go O’s...
CP, you are too funny for words!
You are too pathetic for words Elias Tushie kisser.
Since when does a frowny face constitute a rant?
This would have been an epic April Fool's joke but alas it is no joke!
The team or the rainout?
Boog, was that a rant?...go O’s...
An ominous start to another wash-out season for my favorite team.
It’s a good decision. Better weather predicted for tomorrow. Colder but no rain.
And Still Undefeated!!!!!
Now batting 3rd for the Orioles, Mike Trouutttt....April fools...enjoy the day everyone...go O’s...
Meanwhile I’m watching them play in a snowstorm in Detroit. I remember being at an opener in Baltimore that was delayed by snow. No way they should be playing in Detroit in those conditions. A slick baseball coming at you in the mid 90’s with poor visibility? C’mon umps, do your job and call it until it stops snowing for God’s sake.
