Sep 11, 2022; Baltimore, Maryland, USA; Baltimore Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins (31) sits in the dugout durning the first inning of the game against the Boston Red Sox at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. Mandatory The Orioles agreed on contract terms with five of their six players eligible for arbitration on Friday, outfielders Austin Hays, Cedric Mullins and Anthony Santander, infielder Jorge Mateo and reliever Dillon Tate. They did not come to an agreement with right-hander Austin Voth and they’ll exchange figures ahead of an arbitration hearing. According to the Athletic, Santander agreed to a contract for a base salary of $7.4 million plus incentives, Mullins’ contract is for a base salary of $4.1 million plus incentives, Hays’ is $3.2 million plus incentives and Mateo’s is $2 million plus incentives. According to the Baltimore Banner, Tate receives $1.5 million plus incentives. MASNSports.com was first with the news of Hays’ agreement. MLBTradeRumors.com predicted that Voth could receive $2 million in arbitration. It’s not yet known what Voth is asking for and what the Orioles are offering. Executive vice president/general manager Mike Elias has a policy of not negotiating beyond the deadline, but made exceptions for multi-year deals for Trey Mancini and John Means last year, which were agreed to before arbitration hearings.

The 20-year-old De La Cruz hit .291 with 12 RBIs in 33 games for the Orioles Black team in the Florida Complex League last season.
