Orioles-Tigers postponed; Will play split doubleheader Saturday

The Orioles’ scheduled game on Friday against the Detroit Tigers at Comerica Park. was postponed by rain. They’ll play a split doubleheader on Saturday with the first game beginning at 12:10 p.m., and the second game beginning at 5:10 p.m. The announcement by the Tigers came more than three hours before the scheduled 6:40 p.m. start Friday’s game.

Dean Kremer (2-0, 6.20) starts Game 1 and Grayson Rodriguez (0-0, 5.12) starts the second game for the Orioles.

Each team will get to add a 27th player for the day.

It is the second postponement of the season for the Orioles. Their April 6th home opener was delayed by a day because of an unfavorable forecast.

Double-A Bowie’s game against Richmond, High-A Aberdeen’s game at Wilmington, and Single-A Delmarva’s game against Salem were all postponed. Triple-A Norfolk is scheduled to play a makeup doubleheader at Charlotte.
