BALTIMORE—The Orioles placed left-handed reliever Cionel Pérez on the 15-day injured list with a strained right oblique on Sunday and recalled right-hander Jonathan Heasley from Triple-A Norfolk.

Pérez left Saturday’s game against Los Angeles after throwing to two batters in the ninth inning.

Heasley, who was acquired by the Orioles last December 18th from Kansas City for minor league infielder Cesar Espinal, had a 4.13 earned-run average in eight spring training games.
