PITTSBURGH–The Orioles traded minor league infielder/outfielder Diego Castillo to the Minnesota Twins on Friday for cash considerations.
Castillo was acquired off waivers from the New York Yankees on February 18th and was taken off the major league roster and outrighted to Triple-A Norfolk on February 20th.
Castillo hit .353 in 12 games (6-for-17) this spring and was 4-for-13 (.308) in three games for Triple-A Norfolk.
