BALTIMORE—Austin Hays had a great view of Cedric Mullins’ catch on Monday night. From left field, Hays has had excellent views of the great plays Mullins has made in center for years, but this one stood out.
“As close as I was, I thought he was floating for a full two seconds,” Hays said. “It’s the most hang time I’ve ever seen him get on a dive. That was number one.
“I think that ball would have one-hopped the wall, and he caught it 30 feet away from the wall, so that was unreal.”
