Orioles’ minor league roundup: Bradish allows 4 runs in rehab start

Oriole starter Kyle Bradish made his second rehab start and allowed four runs on six hits in 3 1/3 innings, walking three and striking out four in Triple-A Norfolk’s 8-4 loss to Jacksonville.

Bradish, who threw 64 pitches against the Jumbo Shrimp, gave up just one  hit in three scoreless innings for Double-A Bowie on Tuesday in his first start of the season.

He’s on the 15-day injured list with a sprained right ulnar collateral ligament.

Chayce McDermott relieved Bradish and gave up three unearned runs on five hits in 3 2/3 innings.

Leftfielder Ryan McKenna hit a two-run home run, his second, and first baseman Coby Mayo had three hits. Mayo is hitting .344 with a 1.044 OPS.

First baseman Dylan Beavers hit a three-run home run, his second, to lead Bowie over Altoona, 5-4. Beavers, the 33rd pick in the 2022 draft, is hitting .347 with a .972 OPS.

Shortstop Anthony Servideo had two hits.

Kyle Brnovich, who came along with Bradish in the 2019 trade that sent Dylan Bundy to the Los Angeles Angels, pitched five scoreless innings, allowing one hit and striking out eight without walking a batter.

Shortstop Jalen Vasquez drove in two runs to lead High-A Aberdeen over Hudson Valley, 6-3.

Relievers Juan De Los Santos, Teddy Sharkey and Graham Firoved combined for 4 2/3 hitless innings in relief.

Single-A Delmarva’s game at Down East was rained out.

The minor leagues are idle on Mondays.
