Orioles’ Jersey of the Game-Matt Wieters

Matt Wieters was one of the best catchers in Orioles’ history. The fifth overall pick in 2007, Wieters played eight seasons with the Orioles and was a four-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner. His last season with the Orioles was 2016 and ended his career with two seasons each with Washington and St. Louis.

Rich Dubroff grew up in Brooklyn as a fan of New York teams, but after he moved to Baltimore, quickly adopted the Orioles and Colts. After nearly two decades as a freelancer assisting on Orioles coverage for several outlets, principally The Capital in Annapolis and The Carroll County Times, Dubroff began covering the team fulltime in 2011.
