BALTIMORE— Jackson Holliday, baseball’s top prospect, is being placed on Triple-A Norfolk’s injured list with right elbow inflammation. The injury, which is not viewed as serious by the Orioles, will give the 20-year-old an opportunity to rest.
Holliday, who was just 2-for-34 (.059) in 10 games in April with the Orioles, is batting .270 with an .898 OPS with seven home runs and 28 RBIs with Norfolk
He’s started 38 games at second base and 10 at shortstop for Norfolk.
