The Orioles placed ace starter Corbin Burnes on the paternity list and recalled left-hander Matt Krook from Triple-A Norfolk on Friday.
Burnes allowed one run on nine hits in seven innings in the Orioles’ 11-2 win over Texas on Thursday night. He’s 9-3 with a 2.28 earned-run list in 17 starts for the Orioles and appears to be headed to the All-Star Game.
He can be on the paternity list between one and three days.

The Orioles acquired Krook from the Yankees on February 18th for cash considerations. He had a 24.75 ERA in four appearances for New York last season. In 26 games with Norfolk, Krook is 2-2 with a 3.71 ERA and one save.
Infielder/outfielder Nick Maton cleared waivers and accepted an outright assignment to Norfolk.
