CLEVELAND—Four new Orioles reported to the team on Thursday, and left-hander Trevor Rogers had a difficult debut.

Rogers, who was acquired from Miami on Tuesday for infielder Connor Norby and outfielder Kyle Stowers, allowed five runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings as the Orioles lost to the Cleveland Guardians, 10-3, before 26,194 at Progressive Field.

Rogers (2-10) allowed his most runs since May 4^th, striking out three and walking three.

The Orioles (65-45) are tied with the New York Yankees for first place in the American League East.

Rogers gave up two runs in the first on a sacrifice fly by José Ramirez and an RBI single by Josh Naylor.

David Fry hit a three-run home run, his ninth, in the third to give Cleveland (66-42) a 5-1 lead.

The Guardians, who have the best record in baseball, added five runs in the seventh against Albert Suárez and Jacob Webb. Ramírez hit a two-run home run and Bo Naylor a three-run homer.

Cleveland starter Ben Lively (10-6) allowed two runs on four hits in six innings.

Colton Cowser, who extended his hitting streak to 14 games, led off the game with a double and scored on Gunnar Henderson’s double.

Anthony Santander hit his 32^nd home run in the fourth.

Jackson Holliday scored the Orioles’ third run in the eighth when he was hit by a pitch and moved to third on pinch-hitter Austin Slater’s single in his first at-bat with the Orioles and scored when Adley Rutschman reached on an error.
