Orioles add relief pitcher Selby for final regular-season game, designate Davidson for assignment

MINNEAPOLIS—Looking for an extra bullpen arm for the final regular-season game, the Orioles recalled right-hander Colin Selby from Triple-A Norfolk and designated left-hander Tucker Davidson for assignment.

Albert Suárez will start the final game against the Twins but  is not expected to pitch very long. On Saturday, Matt Bowman served as the opener and was removed after recording four outs. Davidson, whose contract was purchased on Saturday, allowed four hits in 4 2/3 scoreless innings.

Yennier Cano, Cionel Pérez and Keegan Akin also pitched and aren’t expected to pitch again on Sunday. Danny Coulombe, Seranthony Domínguez, Gregory Soto and Jacob Webb are presumably available.

Colton Cowser, Gunnar Henderson, Cedric Mullins and Jordan Westburg, who rested on Saturday, are back in the lineup. Anthony Santander is getting the day off.

Selby, who was with the Orioles last month, threw three hitless innings, walking two and striking out four.
