Question: I know Zach Eflin is starting for the Orioles in their opener in Toronto, but I don’t consider that our Opening Day. I consider our home opener on March 31st our Opening Day. Will Tomoyuki Sugano get that start? From: Heidi Bertaux
Answer: Heidi, I think it would be fun to have Tomoyuki Sugano make his major league debut because it’s a big deal in Baltimore, and the 35-year-old Japanese right-hander’s debut is a major story.
However, manager Brandon Hyde said that Charlie Morton, Dean Kremer and Sugano are his second, third and fourth starters, and he’s deciding between Cade Povich and Albert Suárez for the fifth starter.
If he goes in order, then Povich or Suárez would start at home, but I hope that Sugano does.

Question: What players do the Orioles have right now from either Maryland or Pennsylvania? From: Ed Strevig
Answer: Ed, the only player the Orioles have from Maryland is reliever Matt Bowman, who’s from Chevy Chase. Levi Stoudt, another non-roster reliever, is from Pottstown, Pennsylvania, but that’s two hours from Camden Yards.
