Question: Why do the Orioles have so many nagging injuries? Could it be because the players are out of shape when reporting to camp? This disappoints me and makes me wonder about the offseason workout regiment. From: John Bowser
Answer: John, this is a question I get often. I think, if anything, players work out too hard in the offseason. I don’t think their injuries come because they haven’t worked hard enough. There are injuries all over baseball, and it’s gotten worse. Players know how important it is to maintain their bodies throughout the year, not just during the season.
Question: What do you think is most important to the team? Is it the best possible big league roster or to keep the most talent in the system? From: @OsfanfromNC
Answer: I think the Orioles try to construct the best big league roster. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have traded good minor league prospects for Corbin Burnes or Zach Eflin. Earlier in the Mike Elias era, they maximized accumulating minor league talent while not spending heavily on the big league team.
