The Orioles always do a great job with their Opening Day festivities, and that includes the care given to who receives the honor of throwing out the first pitch. This year it was recently retired athletic trainer Richie Bancells, who made a significant impact in his four decades with the organization. Jonathan Schoop and Adam Jones were among the Orioles who rallied around Bancells during the pregame festivities.
