Jeremy Hellickson, Washington Nationals
Raise your hand if you predicted Hellickson would have the second-best ERA in the Nationals’ star-studded rotation this year. It’s true; his 3.29 mark at the break is bested only by Max Scherzer’s 2.41.
A return to the National League has been just what the doctor ordered for Hellickson after his tumultuous experience with the Orioles last year. Hellickson has gone 4-1 in 13 starts since claiming the fifth spot in Washington’s rotation, including a victory over the Orioles in Baltimore on May 29.
